Hey, if you are not going out of town for Labor Day Weekend, you might as well join us for a pleasant amble around nearby Cooper Creek Reservoir, located on the outskirts of Sutherlin.

Driving time: 25 minutes

Difficulty level: Moderate
Distance: 6.1 miles

Pluses: An easy hike with shady forest and lake scenery

Minuses: It could be hot, weatherwise. Last time we hiked here the trail did not yet go all away around the lake, requiring  a bushwhack hike of a couple of miles or in the alternative, a road walk for the same mileage. We are uncertain as to the status of the trail but we will find out now, won't we?

On the day of the hike: Meet at 8 am in the Douglas County Courthouse parking lot off of Fowler St., right behind the library building. Bring water, lunch, and appropriate clothing for hiking.

We will follow current official Oregon Covid-19 guidelines, whatever they may be at the time. Please do not attend if you feel sick, are coughing, or have a fever.

The club hikes every other Saturday, rain or shine. Hiking is free, everybody is welcome.
