Join Practical Herbalist & Chef Caroline Wickens-Yates for a walk along the hedgerow and around her medicinal gardens.  We will identify and talk about common weeds (useful plants) naturalized here in SW NS. 

 We will talk about the medicinal properties and how we can use them in our daily lives and also how to use them as food.  We will also take a look at what is growing in the medicinal gardens and learn  the ones we find. 

 Please wear closed in foot wear, long pants and bring your own bug spray ~ also good to put layers on for example :  a t-shirt under a long sleeved shirt. Things to bring:  A note book, full water bottle, camera, hat, bug spray. 

This is a beginner's walk to learn about plants that grow around us and ways to use herbal medicine in our lives.  Hedgerows and back yards offer many options to begin your herbal journey!
