The Erratics are teaming up with DIgby Area Recreation for a pre-hike session to learn about the excellent loan program the public can access at the arena. We've had some pretty wild snowshoe adventures with the Fundy Erratics! However, since 2015 - 2016, many of our planned snowshoe hikes end up as hikes with ice grippers or no need for them at all. At the arena, we'll see what Digby Recreation has available for snowshoes, ice grippers and hiking poles. From the arena, we'll head up to VanTassel Lake for an easy hike to try out our gear. You will need your own transportation. If snow conditions don't require snowshoes, we will have a nice hike at beautiful VanTassel Lake. Dress in layers with appropriate footwear, bring a light snack and water in your backpack.
