- **Event Description**: Book tickets to find out more about the fascinating world of quantum computing, and tour our cutting edge facilitiesAbout this EventWe hope you'll be able to join us for this fascinating look at the varied work we're doing in quantum computing and other quantum technologies at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory and Boulby Underground Laboratory.The event will start with an introduction to the National Quantum Computing Centre, based at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory, followed by a live link to the Boulby Underground Laboratory, to see what incredible work they're doing deep beneath the surface to explore quantum technologies.There'll then be an opportunity to tour some of the facilities on site: we're thrilled to be working with our friends on site, Diamond Light Source, to offer tours - as well as the opportunity to tour other facilities, including the ISIS Neutron and Muon Source, our Particle Physics Facilities and the Central Laser Facility.The talk will start promptly at 10:00 and tours will finish by 12:15.Online TalksIf you cannot join us in person, you can also join us online for the talks - an introduction to the amazing work of the National Quantum Computing Centre and the Boulby Underground Laboratory. On registration, please select the "Online talks" tickets.Family friendly eventThis event is suitable for ages 12 and over.
