- **Event Description**: After hosting 60 successful Monday nights, the NEPA Scene Open Mic at Union Vapors 570 in Dickson City is coming to an end as the shop prepares to close in October. To give local artists one last chance to perform there and say goodbye, we're hosting a final event on Monday, July 13. Whether you're part of our regular crew or new to this open mic, we hope to see you there. Our Tuesday nights at The V-Spot will continue as normal.

We're expecting a big crowd for this one, so we're starting earlier than usual to guarantee that we can fit everyone in. Sign-ups are from 6 p.m.-9 p.m., and while a limited amount of sign-ups may or may not be accepted after that, arriving early guarantees a spot. Every act receives between 10 to 15 minutes of stage time, depending on the turnout. The show will start at 7 p.m. and run through midnight. Original material is encouraged.

Everyone participating will be featured in the live stream on Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram. Photos of each act will be made available for download in the NEPA Scene Open Mic Facebook group, giving artists professional shots that they can use for their own promotion.

All artists and attendees must be 21 or older. Water, soda, and other beverages will be available for purchase. For those who would like to drink alcohol, it is BYOB.

The venue provides a soundboard, sound system, three microphones, two standard instrument cables, and a house drum kit. Full bands are welcome to perform. Those who have pre-recorded music or backing tracks can bring them on their phone or laptop; NEPA Scene has audio cables ready to plug devices directly into the soundboard. If any other equipment is needed, performers must bring it with them.
