Throughout the class, students will learn the fundamental techniques used to create pottery by hand, including:
? Pinch Pot Construction
? Coil Building
? Slab Building
? Surface Decoration & Texture Techniques
? Underglaze and Glaze Application
Each week builds on the previous lesson as students learn how to transform clay into both functional and decorative pieces. Projects are designed to help develop technical skills while encouraging creativity and exploration. By the end of the course, students will have completed multiple projects and gained the confidence needed to continue creating independently.
This class is beginner-friendly, but students with previous experience are also welcome and must be completed to utilize our open studio hours.

? Starts Saturday July 18th at 2pm
• Early Registration: $250 per person
• Regular Registration: $285 per person (starts 6/20)

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Attendance: Due to the nature of the course, there will be no makeup classes. Each week builds upon previous lessons, and missing a class may impact your ability to complete projects on schedule.
Project Completion: Some projects may not be completed within the six-week session depending on project complexity and individual pace. Students who wish to continue working on unfinished projects after the course ends may do so during Open Studio hours. Standard Open Studio fees will apply.
Students who do not plan to continue through Open Studio should communicate with their instructor throughout the course so project planning can be adjusted accordingly.
Breakage Policy Clay is a natural material, and breakage can occur during drying, firing, glazing, or handling. While every effort is made to ensure the success of each piece, pottery is an inherently unpredictable medium and occasional losses are part of the learning process.
The Cozy Kiln is not responsible for items that crack, warp, or break during the pottery-making process. We will always do our best to minimize risks and help students understand how to achieve the best possible results.
