Dear friends,
We’re a group of friends from Batch-39, Department of Architecture, UAP, writing with heavy hearts but hopeful spirits—for someone incredibly dear to us.
Our beloved friend Atoshi has been diagnosed with Extraskeletal Ewing Sarcoma (EES)—a rare and aggressive form of cancer that has already spread to her abdominal wall, liver, and lungs. Despite this heartbreaking diagnosis, Atoshi has met every challenge with grace, strength, and unshakable faith. Now more than ever, she needs us—and we’re reaching out to ask for your support.
One of Atoshi’s dearest wishes is to return to Bangladesh, while she’s still well enough to travel. Alongside her urgent medical needs, we’re launching this emergency fundraiser to help make that journey possible and support her ongoing treatment.
On June 23, Atoshi underwent emergency surgery to remove a tumour from her small intestine. Since then, her days have been filled with hospital visits, painful tests (including CT and PET scans), and preparations for a demanding 14-cycle chemotherapy regimen (VDC/IE)—all aimed at slowing the disease and giving her a better quality of life.
In the midst of all this, Atoshi still found the strength to submit her thesis and complete her Master’s in Architecture from Curtin University, Australia, fulfilling her late mother’s lifelong dream. Her courage, resilience, and the love she continues to radiate have left us all in awe.
But cancer comes with not just emotional pain—it brings an enormous financial burden: treatment costs, medications, specialised scans, and the everyday care she now requires. This fundraiser is our way of easing some of that pressure, so Atoshi can focus on what matters most: healing, time with family, and moments of peace.
We’re calling on everyone—friends, family, fellow alumni, strangers with kind hearts:
💰 Please donate if you can.
🔄 Please share this post far and wide.
🙏 Please keep Atoshi in your thoughts and prayers.
We’ll be posting updates (with her permission) on her journey, treatments, and ways you can continue to support. Whether you’re a medical professional, a caregiver, or someone moved by her story—your love and help can make all the difference.
For any questions or to access medical documentation, please contact Nasir (Batch-39).
