Aspiring Civil Engineers, get ready to put your concrete skills to the ultimate test with “𝐌𝐢𝐱 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫” at 𝐂𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟐! This thrilling segment invites participants to dive into the world of concrete technology by designing and preparing high strength concrete cylinders. With a focus on precision, economy and performance, this competition challenges teams to develop mixes that deliver maximum compressive strength while maintaining engineering efficiency.
Open to all undergraduate civil engineering students, “𝐌𝐢𝐱 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫” encourages the practical application of concrete mix proportioning, material selection and quality workmanship. Participants will cast and cure their cylinders under faculty supervision, document their entire process and present their mix design during evaluation.
Guided by an expert panel from the field of structural and materials engineering, this competition emphasizes strength achievement, accuracy, cost-effectiveness and construction quality. Join us at 𝐂𝐄𝐯𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐨𝐧 𝟐 and showcase your mastery of concrete technology in the exciting world of “𝐌𝐢𝐱 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫.”
𝐑𝐮𝐥𝐞𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐠𝐮𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
•Cylinders must be cast and cured under faculty supervision with photo/video proof.
•Only plain concrete is allowed; no metallic or reinforcing materials.
•Specimens must be 100 mm × 200 mm and cured for 28 ± 2 days.
•Defective, overaged or damaged cylinders may be rejected.
•Mix design sheets must be original and advisor-approved; plagiarism will cause disqualification.
•Teams must be present during testing at DUET.
•Judges’ decisions are final and must be respected.
•Any rule violation may lead to penalties or disqualification.
𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞 𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥:
•Prizes will be awarded to Champion, 1st Runner-up & 2nd Runner-up based on their attained scores.
•An alluring prize pool of 50 K+ BDT has been announced that will be distributed.
•Besides a Gorgeous Crest and winning Certificate will be offered to the winners of this 𝐌𝐢𝐱 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 segment.
