After a long-awaited return, the Department of Mechanical Engineering proudly presents 𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻, a flagship event of this year’s Mechanical Festival 2026, organized by the Mechanical Engineering Association (MEA). Set to take place on 03 April, Mechathon invites the brightest engineering minds to push boundaries and redefine what’s possible.

𝗠𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 is a Mechanical Engineering Case Competition designed to simulate real world challenges where problems are open ended and solutions demand creativity, analytical rigor, and practical feasibility. If tackling ambiguous problems excites you, if you enjoy breaking down challenges where no single answer exists and every decision demands engineering judgment, then this is where you belong. Push your limits, challenge your reasoning, and step into a competition that defines what it truly means to think like an engineer.

𝗘𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘁𝗲 & 𝗧𝗶𝗺𝗲:

𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗚𝘂𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀:
01. It will be a team-based event. Each team will be consisting of a maximum of 4 (four) people 
02. The problem statement will be provided on spot on the event day.
03. The participants will be given 6 hours to suggest a probable solution to the problem statement
04. The Participants are asked to bring their own devices, charger and multiplug.
05. Internet connection will be provided to the participants.
06. The participants may go through any book or look up anything on the internet in order to solve the problem. 
07. Lunch and T-shirts will be provided on spot.
