The events of 22nd JLRC National Language Fiesta 2026 Events List Signature events- Language Championship - An English olympiad based event consisting of a qualifying round and a buzzer round. The questions revolve from grammatical topics to palindromes and histories. ভাষারত্ন - An Bangla olympiad based event consisting of a preliminary and a final, buzzer round. The questions revolve from grammatical topics to histories regarding the creation of present day Bangla. Treasure Hunt - Our most famous event where participants solve puzzles and enigmas to qualify for the final round where they try to find and solve puzzles which are hidden all around our campus to win the final prize. Pottermore - An event based on J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts series of books. Participants go through a written round to qualify for the final buzzer round. Writing Based Events- Catch-22 - In this event, participants are given a comic panel which ends with 2 choices to be made by the participant. They have to make a choice and end the story in their own words. Tetrathlon - An interesting event consisting of 4 parts: Anagram, Word hive, Hangman and Crossword puzzle. This event tests participant’s vocabulary to the extreme. Linguistic Spirit - An event that tests participant’s skills in different languages, mainly in Spanish, French, German and Japanese. Participants are given 15 questions from each language to solve. Signs.N.Sagas - A new event where participants have to assign words to specific signs or symbols scattered across a passage to make it meaningful. Lexical Dismantling (Language Deciphering) - An event which tests the understanding of a participant. Participants have to understand a given passage and using the clues, have to rewrite the passage in an easier tone without changing the meaning. Wordle - Our newest event where participating teams will have to correctly guess thirty 5 letter words according to their clues to qualify for the final round where teams will be divided in a bracket system and will have to guess the selected word in a time trial-like system to qualify for the Listening Based Events- Binge Quiz - An event based on different T.V series. Participants will be given questions from pre-announced T.V series. Alongside these questions, they will be shown a clip from one of the set series and will have to answer a broad question based on the clip. Spelling Bee - spelling bee is an event where participants have to write down the proper spelling on announced words, testing their both listening skills and vocabulary. Reading Based Events- Book Based Quiz - An event based on different Books. Participants will be given questions from pre-announced books. This event encourages participants to lean towards reading books.
