Are you ready to step beyond the classroom and experience how industrial innovation and engineering expertise drive the nation’s power and machinery sector? The field of industrial engineering continues to expand rapidly, offering diverse opportunities for students to explore real-world applications of their academic knowledge.

Recognising the importance of bridging the gap between academic learning and industrial practice, the IEEE NSU Industry Applications Society Student Branch Chapter is going to organise an insightful Industrial visit to the BanglaCAT on 20th November, 2025. The purpose of this visit is to provide students with practical exposure to advanced industrial operations, maintenance technologies, and engineering solutions implemented in one of the country’s leading power system enterprises.

BanglaCAT is the authorised dealer of Caterpillar Inc. in Bangladesh, providing power systems, machinery solutions, and world-class maintenance services. BanglaCAT , situated in Ashulia along the Savar Highway, is a Caterpillar Certified Contamination Control Facility, offering state-of-the-art services such as overhauling, repairing, rebuilding, and SOS (Scheduled Oil Sampling) testing. They also follow a Production Line Methodology to ensure quick service for all their products. These facilities represent the highest standards of industrial engineering and operational excellence in the country.

Through this industrial visit, participants will have the chance to engage with professionals in the field, watch live workshop operations, and gain valuable insights into modern engineering processes and technologies. This experience will enable students to better understand the industrial environment and prepare themselves for future careers in the power and energy sectors.
