This year's 15th GDC Nationals 2026 draws inspiration from one of fiction's most enduring ideological conflicts—the struggle between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance. Set in a galaxy far, far away, Star Wars nevertheless confronts questions that have echoed throughout history and continue to shape our own world: order or liberty, authority or resistance, stability or revolution. Every era demands that we choose where we stand.
After a one-year hiatus, the Gregorian Debating Club proudly welcomes you back to the nation's premier debating championship, where Bangladesh's finest debaters once again gather to test their wit, conviction, and resolve. As participants descend upon the historic streets of Old Dhaka, the battlefield transforms—from starships to speeches, from blasters to arguments, and from war to words.

Across two premier segments, competitors will confront motions that demand intellectual rigor, strategic precision, and the courage to challenge convention. Every speech is a calculated maneuver, every rebuttal a collision of ideals, and every round a contest for influence. Here, victories are earned not through force, but through reason; not by commanding armies, but by commanding ideas.
