DUBS Open Mic: Season 1, organized by the Dhaka University Band Society (DUBS), is an exciting musical event set to take place at Payra Chattar, TSC, Dhaka University on 28th September,2025. This event aims to discover and showcase emerging musical talent through a structured selection process. Participants will first register online, after which they will go through a screening phase conducted by experienced musicians from DUBS. From these entries, the top 13 performers will be selected based on their originality, musical skill, and stage presence. These finalists will get the opportunity to perform live at the main event in front of a vibrant audience.
Eligibility Criteria
This event welcomes a wide range of musicians and artists. To ensure fairness while celebrating creativity, participants must meet the following requirements:
1. Bands
Must have at least one original song to their name.
All genres are welcome, including (but not limited to):
Metal, Rock, Thrash, Folk, Indie, Qawwali and more
2. Solo Artists
Must have at least one original composition (released or unreleased).
Eligible categories include:Singers & Instrumentalists
3. Hip-Hop Artists:
Must have at least one original Hip-Hop track.
