2. Each player will have 3 minutes at the starting of the game, with an additional 2 seconds added per move. 
3. Touch-move rule applies: If a player touches a piece, they must move it if there is a legal move. 
4. No assistance from chess engines or books during a game. 
5. The tournament will consist of 6-8 rounds depending on the situation.

3. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬𝟗𝟔𝟎 

𝙏𝙝𝙚𝙢𝙚:
Chess960, also known as Fischer Random Chess, is a chess variant that randomizes the starting position of the pieces on the back rank. That means endless new tactics and variations exist every round.

2. Starting positions of pieces on the players' home ranks will be randomly determined.

- Entry Fee: 50\- per participant.

- Senior: Class 9 - University 4th Year

1. These are solo and written events. 
2. During the competitions, mobile phones must be switched off.  


𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 &amp; 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙨:
- Entry Fee: 100\- (By paying 100\- you will be able to participate in all 4 of these segments). 
- Entry Fee: 50\- (By paying 50\- you will be able to participate in any of these 2 segments). 
- Certificates: Participation certificates will be awarded to all participants. Winners will get separate certificates 

𝙋𝙧𝙞𝙯𝙚𝙨:
Top 3 participants from each category and each segment will receive prizes and certificates. 


6. 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭

𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙮:
Open to all students 

𝙍𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨:
1. One can submit more than one meme. 
2. The meme can be based on Chess, our Festival, Pohela Boishakh or the combination of these topics. 
3. The meme must be unique and original. The meme must be either in English or Bangla language. 
4. Participants have to join https://www.facebook.com/share/gJZVxet6PtaZ6rUy/ group and post the meme in the group using  #ndcc_meme_contest  &amp; #10thNationalChessCarnival hashtag and must share the post in his/her profile publicly. 
5. You can invite your friends to the group to react to your post. Reactions will have an impact on choosing the winner. The memes will be judged additionally by a judge panel. 

𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 &amp; 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙨:
- No need for any registration or participation fee. Just join the group and post memes using the hashtag. 
- Certificates: Only winner will receive certificate

The Meme contest winner will be awarded a prize and a certificate.

1. Participants must bring their own cube 
2. Cube clocks will be provided

1. FIDE rules for chess competitions will be strictly followed. 
2. Each team must consist of 4 players: 2 players from the same institution and 2 players can be from a different institution. 
3. Each player will have 3 minutes at the starting of the game, with an additional 2 seconds added per move. 
4. Touch-move rule applies: If a player touches a piece, they must move it if it's a legal move. 
5. No assistance from chess engines or books. 
6. Team members must alternate moves without consulting with each other. 
7. The tournament will consist of 6-8 rounds depending on the situation. 

𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙥𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 &amp; 𝙁𝙚𝙚𝙨:
- Entry Fee: 1000\-  per team (250\- per person in a team)

Duo Teams: 2 Members per Team 

𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙮:
 Open to all students 

𝙍𝙪𝙡𝙚𝙨:
1. Teams of maximum 2 players. Solo players allowed.
2. Participants must find as many chess pieces as possible scattered across the campus. 
3. Instead of taking the pieces, participants must take pictures of them in their original locations. 
4. Each piece will have a unique code that participants must record in the pictures. 
5. Pieces can be collected in any order. 
6. The use of any form of transport (cycles, bikes, cars, etc.) is prohibited; the hunt must be done on foot. 
7. Collaborating with other teams is not allowed; this is a competitive event. 
8. The team with the most chess piece pictures found wins. 
9. Do not share your findings with others before the event ends to ensure fair play. 
10. Any form of cheating or breaking rules will result in disqualification.

2. The Wall Magazine must be Chess and Boishakhi themed, reflecting the spirit, strategies of the game and the culture of Pohela Boishakh. 
3. The content can include articles, stories, artwork, and other creative expressions related to chess. 
4. The Wall Magazine should be designed to be displayed on a wall or bulletin board. 
5. Teams are encouraged to incorporate a mix of text and visuals, showcasing the rich history and complexity of chess and Pohela Boishakh. 
6. All submissions must be made by the specified deadline.

Celebrate the vibrant spirit of Pahela Boishakh through colors, culture, and creativity. Participants are encouraged to express the essence of Bengali heritage, festivity, tradition, and joy through their artwork. While the theme is not strictly limited, Boishakhi elements are highly appreciated.

𝘾𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙜𝙤𝙧𝙮:
Open to all students 

𝙁𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩:
-On-spot Art Competition (Duration: -Approximately 2 hours 30 minutes)

1. This is an on-spot competition; all artworks must be created during the allocated time.
