- **Event Description**: The objective of this course is to develop participants’ capacity to apply Python programming and analytical techniques in capital market analysis. The course aims to equip participants with practical skills in financial data handling, visualization, risk and return analysis, portfolio optimization, trading strategy development, and basic machine learning applications relevant to modern capital markets. Upon completion, participants will be able to use Python for data-driven investment decision-making and capital market research.

The course will have two broad components (i) Learning the basics of Python and (ii) Applications of Python in the Capital Market

Component (i) will cover the following topics:
- Introduction to Python for Finance
- Basic lessons on coding in Python
- Visualization in Python
- Introduction to Financial Analytics and Time Series Data
- Excel-Python Data transfer and interactions

Component (ii) will cover:

- Analyzing and predicting risks and returns
- Live price and volume forecasting and optimization of winning trades
- Portfolio construction and optimization
- Determining and executing market orders (i.e., stop loss, limit order, market order, and buy-stop order)
- Simulation analysis (i.e., normal distribution of millions combination of inputs)
- Extracting data/news from selected portals (e.g., Dhaka Stock Exchange) using python programs
- Developing small-scale ML model for finance in Python

Participants are expected to have elementary level of knowledge about the Python program language and its operating environment. 

The program is targeted for market analysts, researchers, and those enthusiastic about learning the application of Python in the capital market. 

Class dates: 16, 22-24 February and 1-3 March
Class time: 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM each day ( 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM only for 16 February 2026 - the inaugural class )

Registration fee: Tk.6,000/- (Six thousand only) 
Registration deadline: 15 February 2026
