Winner of three Detroit Music Awards, Tumbao Bravo is an exciting Latin Jazz combo from Ann Arbor, Mi formed in 2004, performing the authentic rhythms of Cuba (mambo, cha cha, rumba, bolero) with rich, original jazz harmonics.  Led by saxophonist/flutist/percussionist/composer Paul Vornhagen, their instrumentation also includes trumpet, congas, timbales, keyboard and electric bass.  Expect the highest level of musicianship and professionalism on stage as these top notch players deliver fiery and tight arrangements of their own compositions.  Great for dancing with melodic songs and sizzling solos.  Their five PKO Records releases have been featured on all the top NPR latin jazz programs as well as sound tracks for feature length films.  Tumbao Bravo as performed in jazz clubs and music festivals throughout Michigan as well as Toledo, Chicago and San Francisco. This will be a live musical performance in my barn for a limited audience of 60 people. There is space on the south side of the barn for anyone who would prefer to dance and/or watch the show outdoors.

This is a ticketed event; if 60 are sold, there will be no walkups. Parking is via the driveway for Ruhlig's Country Market, one west of mine; watch for the parking czar for directions. Carpooling is encouraged. Guests can arrive starting at 7:30pm, music will start at 8:00pm. Please no tobacco products or animals. BYOB and a lawn or stadium chair.  Bathroom is inside my house; please remove your shoes to use it.

A contribution of $5 per car for parking will be requested at the show.  Additional contributions for barn maintenance appreciated.

Note that the intersection of Island Lake Rd. and Dexter-Chelsea Rd. just west of downtown Dexter will be closed most of this Summer for installation of a roundabout. If coming out from the east, find another route or follow detours.
