Sangha Description

Open to all, these weekly drop in sessions will include a short talk, guided and silent meditation, and opportunities for sharing. They are a wonderful way to explore and deepen our meditation practice in community. Registration is not required, there is no set fee, and no one will be turned away. If possible, participants are encouraged to help defray facility expenses through a donation paid at the door ($5.00 suggested).

Sessions will be led by Whitney Prince and will emphasize the Buddha’s approach (Early Buddhism tradition) to liberation from suffering. They are appropriate for meditators of alllevels.

Facilitator

Whitney Prince lives in Dexter and has been meditating and attending Buddhist retreats since 2012. In addition to teaching at Verapose, he has taught meditation through Chelsea Community Education and at Eastern Michigan University. Prior to retirement, Whitney was a Professor of Music at EMU. His passion in retirement is to share the Buddha’s path to freedom.
