Our Reception and Year 1 class is a joyful place where curiosity, creativity and confidence grow every day.

The children in Robins love learning through play — whether they’re exploring numbers with bricks and counters, building masterpieces in the construction area, or getting messy with play dough in our vibrant outdoor space.

“My teacher is called Mrs Underwood and she is kind. I like playing with the play dough and going outside. We have bricks and construction. My favourite thing is learning — especially numbers! Mrs Underwood and Mrs James always read us stories. I love reading with a buddy from Owls.”

Every day in Robins is filled with smiles, stories and new adventures — all led by our caring team who nurture a love of learning from the very start.

We’re holding a ‘Stay and Play’ session for prospective Reception children and their parents/carers on Thursday 27th November 2025.

It’s a perfect opportunity to explore our classroom, meet our wonderful team and experience the magic of early learning at Urchfont.
