- **Event Description**: Heart-saver CPR, First Aid and AED is a video based, instructor-lead course that teaches those in attendance critical skills needed to recognize, respond and manage an emergency until the ambulance arrives. Skills that will be covered in this course include;
first aid,, choking relief (adults, children and infants),
CPR and use of an AED (adults, children and infants who are in cardiac arrest).
All skill taught in this class are research proven by the AHA and the practice while watching technique allows instructors to observe, instruct and provide feedback to students in real time as the perform the skills.
The course is for anyone and everyone! Whether you have years of experience, limited experience or no medical knowledge what-so-ever. Upon completing the course attendees will obtain a 2 year certification in AHA Heart-saver CPR or BLS for Healthcare provider CPR. This course meets all the requirements for job, regulatory and other requirements. This course also meets all new state requirements for those who operate public daycare as well as those who need CPR certification for baby sitting.
Class is instructed by a local paramedic with over 17 years of EMS experience. Cost is $60 per person. This cost includes the price of the E-card for certification.
