Join us for a screening of select student work and The Henry Ford’s "Farm to School Lunch Across America: Innovation in America’s School Lunchroom" documentary exploring how schools and communities across the country are creating healthier, more equitable food systems.  

A community conversation about bringing fresh, local, healthy food into schools will follow, featuring the following panelists: 

◾Michael Craig, Detroit Public Schools teacher and founder of the Drew Horticulture Program  
◾Debra Reid, curator of Agriculture and the Environment at The Henry Ford 
◾Jesse Ford, co-founder and executive producer of WTP Pictures 
◾Moderator: Skot Welch, founder and president of Mosaic Film Experience 
 
This event celebrates the 2026 winners of Nourishing Narratives: Cultivating Youth Stories for Change, a national youth mobile film competition that empowers teens to explore food justice through storytelling. Youth ages 13-18 submitted short films on topics including access to healthy food, urban farming and community gardens, organizations feeding their communities, food education and Indigenous food justice.
