# Event Details - **Event Name**: May Migration in Detroit - **Event Start and End Date**: Sat, 09 May, 2026 at 08:00 am – Sat, 09 May, 2026 at 10:00 am (-04:00) - **Event Description**: Join Detroit Bird Alliance and Arboretum Detroit for a walk to find migratory birds and other wildlife.About this EventThe walk will start and end at Circle Forest(3301 Palmer St Detroit) and walk through Callahan Park.Cirlce Forest is a restoration project created by Arboretum Detroit and Callahan Park is the first Detroit Bird City park restored with a native grass and flower meadow in 2019. We will walk through other Arboretum Detroit sites including Oxygen Alley, and Treetroit 1. We will wander through these spaces looking and listening for birds. For each bird we find we can discuss behavior, field marks, fun facts and identification tips. If there is not much bird activity we can discuss past bird sightings in the area as well as the local plants and how they interact with birds and other wildlife.Kyle has been watching the birds at Callahan Park since 2020 as the Detroit Bird City meadow was first established.
