FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1
TITAN TAILGATE AND BONFIRE

7:15-9:00 PM


Parking Lot G, McNichols Campus

Come help all of our Titan teams kick off the fall athletic season by participating in the Titan Tailgate and bonfire. You'll meet some of the players and wish all the teams good luck this year as they throw their torches into our epic bonfire. We will provide a free Lucky Beez food truck meal to the first 175 students to register. The event will also be complete with s'mores, a DJ, and tailgate festivities to get everyone amped up for Saturday's Varsity Men's Soccer game.



OUTDOOR MOVIE - Back to the Future

8:30-10:00 PM


Parking Lot F, McNichols Campus

Spend time with your family and friends while enjoying an outdoor viewing of this cinematic classic. You can choose to watch from the comfort of your car or in the center of Titan Field.


SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2
BIKE RIDE

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM

Join all level of cyclists as they pedal through a unique tour of the neighborhoods surrounding McNichols Campus. Registration fee of $20 required.



FORENSIC FORUM REUNION

11:00 AM-1:00 PM


Briggs Building, McNichols Campus

Detroit Mercy will be hosting its first Forensic Forum Reunion for alumni. Chuck Dause, former Chair of the Speech and Communications Studies Department, will be the special guest. Hear about plans for the future and a new project on the horizon.

  1. THE ART OF PROFESSIONAL BRANDING - Hosted by Detroit Mercy's career Services Team. Learn new and innovative ways of creating your own personal brand by using the most current technology options.
  2. THEATRE WORKSHOP: BODY ELECTRICS - Curious how body energy can impact your presentation or performance/ Professor Emeritus Dr. Arthur Beer will demonstrate how to tap your body energy to create dynamic moments.
  3. FINDING VALUE IN YOUR HOME - THIS WORKSHOP HAS BEEN CANCELED
  4. TAKING AND EDITING PICTURES WITH YOUR PHONE - A hands-on lesson from Detroit Mercy Admissions' social medial team on how to get the most out of your phone's camera.
  5. ESTATE PLANNING AND PITFALLS 101 - Learn the basics of estate planning and solving estate issues from Diana P. Moack, Attorney in Estate Planning, Probate and Trust Administration, Partner at Pugh Moack, PC.


COMMUNICATION STUDIES OPEN HOUSE

The department of communication studies will be hosting an open house as part of Detroit Mercy's 2021 Homecoming event on Saturday, Oct. 2 from 2-3 pm. Meet the College of Liberal Arts & Education's Dean, Mark Denham, connect with friends and faculty, and see the future home of the Center for Communications Studies.



FALL FESTIVAL

Casino games, bubble soccer, inflatables, rock wall, beer and wine tent, Chicken Shack, Crispelli's, and Sweet Treats food trucks, Arts & Scraps craft tent, scavenger hunt.



TITAN SLAM MONOLOGUE COMPETITION FINALS

5:00-6:00 PM


Room 113, Life Sciences, McNichols Campus

Join us for our second annual Titan Slam Monologue Competition where students and alumni submit monologue performances in advance and compete for cash prizes. Only the top ten performances will perform at Homecoming.
