- **Event Description**: In partnership with the Belle Isle Conservancy and their Keep Belle Isle Beautiful initiative, FDR will be hosting a cleanup on the canals of Belle Isle. Some kayaks will be provided on a first come basis, otherwise participants are encouraged to bring their own. If you prefer to cleanup on land, there will be areas for you to do so!

Volunteers are to check in behind the Belle Isle Aquarium at 9:30 am. This event is open to all ages, minors must be accompanied by an adult. No prior kayak experience is necessary. Paddles, life jackets and cleanup supplies provided. Wear clothes you don't mind getting wet, closed toed shoes, and a water bottle to stay hydrated. It is also recommended to wear a hat or sunscreen on the water. 

Registration is not required. State Recreation Passport is required to get onto the island!
