Bass Drops & Jersey Swaps + Flow Meet & Prop Swap: Winter Charity Edition

Detroit Rave Squad and Metro Detroit Flowmies present Bass Drops & Jersey Swaps + Flow Meet & Prop Swap: Winter Charity Edition, a free, donation-based community event supporting Community & Home Supports, Inc. (CHS) — a Detroit nonprofit providing homeless services, housing support, and essential resources to individuals and families in need.

Join us on Sunday, January 11 from 2:00–8:00 PM at Tangent Gallery (715 East Milwaukee Avenue, Detroit, MI 48202) for an afternoon of bass music, flow arts, jersey swapping, and community connection. Entry is free with RSVP, but this is a donation-based event, and we are strongly encouraging everyone who is able to bring something to support CHS and their winter outreach.

CHS has a major need for food donations this winter, especially canned and pre-packaged meals, which are no longer being reimbursed. Food is the top priority, along with core winter and hygiene items.

If you can, please bring:
• Non-perishable food (highest priority – canned goods, ready-to-eat meals, soups, oatmeal, proteins, etc.)
• Canned heat / fuel for warming food
• Matches or lighters
• Gloves, hats, socks, and warm clothing
• Sleeping bags, blankets, and thermal gear
• Hand warmers
• Hygiene items and wipes

Donations can be made online, or cash will be collected on site. We won’t turn anyone away, but if you’re able, we encourage you to contribute food, supplies, or funds to support CHS.

You do not need to bring a jersey or a flow toy to attend — everyone is welcome. Metro Detroit Flowmies will have community flow props available so anyone can join the Flow Meet or try flow arts for the first time.

We’re currently planning the day as: open decks from 2–4 PM, a DRS mods deck takeover from 4–6 PM, and main sets from Rizzm, Ooze, and Cheska from 6–8 PM (timing subject to adjustment as we get closer).

Please reserve your free RSVP so we can manage capacity and plan appropriately for donations. Come dance, flow, swap, and help support CHS and Detroit families this winter.
