Get some initial indoor trai, make new friends and see what the sport of rowing can do for you!About this EventOne 2-hour morning session, designed to give youth a first taste of the sport. Hosted by the Des Moines Rowing Youth Program at our Easter Lake Boathouse.Format: We'll start with the basics of the stroke on the erg (rowing machine), rowing terms, coxing, and parts of the boat.Limitations: Open to youth in Grades 8-12 (ages 12-18). What to Bring: Wear athletic clothing with tennis shoes and socks. If you are wearing shorts do not wear baggy ones as they can get caught on the tracks of the seats. Bring a water bottle.Waiver: all participants will be required to sign our waiver.
