In solidarity with the people of Minneapolis and St Paul and with the immigrant communities in Iowa, Twin Cities native and Iowa based comic John Bush wanted to mobilize Des Moines own comedy community to support Immigrants in our city. A night of laughs from some of the best comics in the Midwest including Dannie Tee, Now Ramirez, Benji Robles, Melanie Mackey, Dan Umthun and John Bush.
All proceeds from the show go to Iowa Movement for Migrant Justice [
https://www.iowammj.org/], an organization that aids immigrants with proper legal paperwork in application for citizenship and asylum.
We’ll also talk community organization and what you can do to support your own community and neighborhood directly, peacefully, and independently.
