I’ll Make Me A World In Iowa and Sankofa Literary & Empowerment Group presents Kwanzaa a Des Moines Metro Community celebration of family, community and culture Saturday December 27, 2025, 12:00pm to 4:00pm at Fort Des Moines Museum and Education Center 75 East Army Post Road, Des Moines, Iowa 50315.

This free family friendly event for all ages will include a community fellowship, lighting of candles, activities, singing, poetry, dance, games, and refreshments!
