Just Behaviour? Course

A course aimed at parents/carers of children who have just been diagnosed/going through the diagnosis process/ or suspect their children of having Autism Spectrum Disorders and experiencing difficulties with managing behaviour. This course is held in person at our venue in Dereham.

Week 2- Understanding the different types of strategies
-Proactive and Reactive Strategies
-Low Arousal Approach
-Proactive Strategies
-Reactive Strategies
-Effective Strategy Planning

Week 3 – Specific Strategies and Their Uses
-Visuals and Routines
-Sensory Therapy and Integration
-Improving communication
-Therapies

Week 4 – Managing a Meltdown
-The SCARED Approach
-Managing the Aftermath
-Consequences
-The Restorative Approach
