Your fellow watch keepers need you
đ«”
PLEASE
Fakenham Parish Church and their 25th annual Christmas tree festival.
Following on from last yearâs successful efforts at the Fakenham Parish Church and their now 25th annual Christmas tree festival, we Wells NCI have been invited to participate this year again and we are very grateful for all the efforts of Alistair & Nigel the dynamic duo đ.
So to cut to the chase for this yearâs effort.. we need please all you to help donate raffle prizes which again will be left please at the lookout or via a fellow watch keeper. The Christmas tree festival will take place from the 27th November to the 4th December inclusive, with slots during those days that will require Wells NCI cover which a current list of volunteers is in the lookout so please if you can give a a couple of hours or two during that week would be fantastic whilst remembering all our share of our tree related display etc will go entirely to Wells NCI and help keep us on the map.
The volunteers information form is enclosed and will give you something of an idea of how it all works, remember that some people have already shown support of time/slot choices etc via the listing on the wall in the lookout so if you can have second choices toward your slot would be helpful.
25th Annual Christmas Tree Festival
27th November â 4t4h December 2025
10.00am-8.00pm (Sun 12.00 noon-8.00pm)
We are pleased to inform you that your application for the 2025 Fakenham Parish Church Christmas Tree Festival has been successful. Please let us know as soon as possible if you do not wish to accept your place or if any details, particularly your contact person or email address, have changed.
**Please re-read the information you received with your application form.**
âą There will be a meeting at 7.00pm on Wednesday October 22nd in the Parish Church. It is a requirement of participation that your organisation is represented at this meeting. Your representative MUST be someone who will be responsible for, and actively involved in, your charityâs participation in the festival.
As in previous years, we are asking for donations of prizes. We need 1000 prizes to keep the tombola running throughout the festival and would be glad to receive donations any time from now onwards. As a minimum, we ask each charity who has not previously done so to bring 5 prizes to the October meeting.
The following volunteer form once collated by Alistair will be handed in by Alistair so anyone that canât get to the list in the lookout, please send an email to âŠ
c3RldmUgISBkeWUgfCBuY2kgISBvcmcgISB1aw== to express your choices of support timing etc.
âą Your volunteer form is attached. Please can you complete this and return it, as hard copy, to the desk in church between 10.30 and 11.30 on Thursday 5th or 12th September, to 6, Great Eastern Way, NR21 8HD or to Anne Peppitt Spinney Cottage, Bale, NR21 0QS no later than Thursday 11th September. Failure to do this may put your application at risk.
There will also be a box for forms at the café pay desk every Thursday when there is no desk.
As stated in the letter you received with your application form, we will need each organisation to provide a minimum of 12 hours volunteering across the 8 festival days. Since Saturday and Sunday are busier days, but less popular with volunteers, at least one of your sessions must be at the weekend. As we have had fewer applications this year, we will be very grateful to any charity that can offer more than 12 hours, as many of you already do.
We intend to let everyone know their allocated duties at the October meeting, but will start completing the rotas as forms come in. If you want your first choices, please reply speedily!
Reminder â the 11th September deadline is to help both you and us.
Also enclosed is a press release. We are approximately 3 months from the festival, but many newsletters, parish magazines etc. have early publication deadlines. Please make every effort with publicity. We need people to come.
We are always delighted at the variety of the charities taking part and are pleased to have several âfirst-timersâ this year.
We shall work hard to ensure that the festival is a great success, and we are sure that you will too.
With best wishes from the CTF team
