Mendelssohn - Elijah

2026 is the 180th anniversary of Elijah's first ever performance, which was in Birmingham. We are proud to present Mendelssohn's epic oratorio in Derby Cathedral.

Featuring renowned baritone Marcus Farnsworth in the title role, with orchestral accompaniment by the Central England Camerata, and conducted by our very own Paul Provost.

Free entry for children under 16 when accompanied by an adult in the £15 ticket section only.
In line with our goal of improving access to the arts for the people of Derby, a small number of tickets for side-aisle and balcony seats are at the lower price of £10, for those on lower incomes or who would otherwise be unable to afford a concert.
