- **Event Description**: Surtal Community Choir returns to Market Place Derby as they perform at Derby's annual Remembrance Sunday commemoration service to remember all those brave soldiers Derby City Council, Surtal Arts, Arts Council of England, DSOL who sacrified their lives in both the World Wars for our freedom including 2.8 million South Asian soldiers who served and sacrificed their lives fighting for the British Empire.


This year we particularly remember those who lost their lives in both Ukrainian and Gaza wars. The choir will sing iconic patriotic songs in South Asian languages. The powerful melodies and heartfelt lyrics are dedicated to our fallen heroes.
