In this insightful online webinar we'll be exploring alexithymia, a personality trait often associated with autism and characterised by difficulty identifying, understanding, and expressing emotions.

Often described as "emotional blindness," alexithymia can affect a person’s ability to identify, distinguish and describe their emotions, which in turn can impact relationships, mental wellbeing, communication, and self-awareness.

Led by Cathy Wassell, founder and CEO of Autistic Girls Network and founder of The Haven, we will examine what alexithymia is, how it presents in everyday life, its connections to mental health and neurodiversity, and practical strategies for improving emotional awareness and connection.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN
- What alexithymia is and how it differs from other emotional challenges
- Common signs and characteristics
- The impact of alexithymia on relationships and wellbeing
- Links with autism, trauma, anxiety, and other conditions
- Tools and strategies to build emotional awareness and communication

Whether you are a mental health professional, caregiver, educator, or simply interested in learning more about emotional processing, this webinar will provide valuable knowledge and actionable insights.
