- **Event Description**: n 2011 Kathy Olenowski, a Denville business owner and true pillar of the community, lost her courageous battle with cancer. Kathy was only 55 years old and left behind a loving family, many friends, and a community that held her in the highest regard. Shortly after, Pink Witches Night Out was founded by her daughter, Meg Olenowski. Meg and her father, John Olenowski, knew Kathy would want them to carry on her legacy of kindness and compassion. 

In 2012, the first Pink Witches Night Out event raised $400 for a local resident who was diagnosed with breast cancer. Since then, this event has evolved into Denville’s most highly anticipated night of the year. In 2024, with the support of our amazing sponsors and hard work from our committee, $45,000 was donated to a mother with breast cancer.

This year we are raising funds for a 28 year old mother who is battling stage 4 cancer. To add to the fundraising efforts we have decided to host our first annual Pink Witches 5k in Downtown Denville We look forward to continuing to grow support within the community with a new fun and exciting event to help support this year’s beneficiary! 

This is a NEW USATF Certified Course. Start in Finish on 2nd street in downtown Denville.
