Gadbaw & Krimmel perform harp and vocal music that ‘hints at ancient Irish roots’ (Denver Westword). Margot Krimmel’s harp is the driving force of the duo’s unique sound, elevated by Beth Gadbaw’s passionate vocals and rhythmic Irish drum. The duo defines itself as “harp and harmony”-making the most of two harps and two voices- with camaraderie and creativity. The Gadbaw & Krimmel duo has performed across the United States and United Kingdom and has three CDs: White Birds, Icy December and Live at the Black Rose. Their original song The Donkey and the Doves was voted by Colorado Public Radio listeners as one of the top-50 favorite holiday carols for four years running. The duo was awarded a 2014 artistic residency at Caribou Ranch by Boulder County. In 2016, they composed and performed their original choral works based on the poetry of Yeats with acclaimed Seattle choir Cora Voce, and were also commissioned to set the poetry of the National Poet of Wales to music for four-part voices. They are currently working on a new recording to be released in 2026. With harp as the foundation and voice as the guide, Gadbaw and Krimmel’s music moves seamlessly between lively rhythms and reflective ballads. Described by Colorado Public Radio as “stunning”, their music is spirited and soothing all at once- perfect for connection and reflection.
