He has been a company officer for the last 16 years. He has been assigned to Engines and Trucks as both a Firefighter and an Officer. Spending most of his career in or near the downtown district, he has gravitated to busy companies and loves the challenges of working in those places. He served with the DFD Tech Rescue Team for over 6 years and is a member of FEMA's Urban Search and Rescue Team. He is currently the Chair of the DFD's Leadership committee and loves learning and discussing leadership. He has been married for almost 30 years and has 3 grown children.As leaders in the Fire Service, we cannot afford to be mere placeholders in charge. Leading with a Purpose hopes to inspire those in team leadership positions, as well as those who are currently following, to be intentional about their actions and attitudes.
