- **Event Description**: In honor of Black History Month 2020, this D2 Conversation will be a discussion with historian Dr. Shaun Treat on "The Lasting Legacy of Denton's Quakertown Community." Dr. Treat's presentation will span the pre-Civil War years through Reconstruction and the Jim Crow Era in Denton TX, sharing newly recovered historical research on our African-American communities as well as provide information on the ongoing work by the Denton County Community Remembrance Project with the Equal Justice Initiative's National Memorial for Peace and Justice.
