I have been travelling to Bali for over forty years, and nearly a decade ago, when Bright Threads was born, I began building something deeper - relationships with the most extraordinary makers. The screen printers, the dyers, the seamstresses who handcraft every single Bright Threads piece. I know their studios, their families, their stories. And for a long time I have thought - I want to bring people here. Into this world. So they can see what I see.

This August, I finally am.

Sixteen people. Seven days based in beautiful Sanur. We will spend our mornings inside workshops and factory floors that are not open to the public - spaces I can access only because of trust built slowly over years. We will walk the textile markets of Denpasar, sit around long dinners, and drink aperitivo as the sun goes down.

And you will make something. You will choose your print, watch it being pressed by hand, and my incredible sewing team will work quietly behind the scenes - so that on our final evening together at Tandjung Sari, your piece is presented to you. Something no one else in the world has. 

Something made with your hands and theirs.

This is the trip I have wanted to create for years, and I am thrilled it is finally here. Sixteen spaces.
