The band originally started as a COVID solo project by Josh Fury. It quickly evolved into a full line-up, blending raw black metal with metalcore influences. Under the banner of "West Flemish koavezworte metal", Dudsekop storms through the black metal scene with fierce intensity. The band delivers pitch-black, crushing, and anything but conventional black metal, always with a distinct and recognizable twist. In 2022, they released their debut album Liksems, fully written by Josh Fury and recorded together with drummer Bert Guillemont. In the early 2020s, Thronum Vrondor brought their intensity to the stage for the first time, translating their suffocating atmosphere into a live ritual. Dies Tenebrosa Sicut Nox (2021) dragged the listener deeper into absolute darkness and recently Thronum Vrondor return with Drowning in The Distorted Light (2025) — a merciless descent into chaos, sorrow, and total devastation.
