PDDUK Season Opener Drive
Join us for a relaxed yet thoughtfully curated drive through the Peak District as we kick off the PDD UK season. This mid-week jaunt offers a true taste of what PDD UK is all about: great roads, great cars, good food, and even better company.
Expect a strong turnout of Porsches, carefully chosen driving routes, and a welcoming atmosphere that encourages conversation, connection, and shared enthusiasm for driving.
As a driving-focused group, we’ve chosen a mid-week date to avoid busy weekend traffic and make the most of the roads.

📍 Holmfirth, Yorkshire
We begin the day in the famous Last of the Summer Wine region of Holmfirth, meeting on Wednesday morning for breakfast at a charming classic car museum café, which we’ve hired exclusively for the group.
A selection of breakfast options is included, ensuring everyone is well-fuelled for the day ahead.
The morning drive takes us out of Holmfirth along one of our personal favourite roads, before continuing onto the legendary Snake Pass — renowned for its flowing tarmac and outstanding views.
At the end of Snake Pass, we’ll stop at Derwent Dam, the historic site where 617 Squadron practised low-level flying ahead of the famous Dambusters raid. After a short coffee and comfort break, we’ll take a brief walk to the base of the dam, where you’ll learn more about the raid and the techniques used.
The afternoon route continues through Winnats Pass, a dramatic limestone gorge steeped in mining history, before leading you along lesser-known roads with a few surprises along the way.
We’ll pause for a relaxed 30-minute stop at a traditional country pub before finishing the day with a scenic run across the Peaks, concluding in Bakewell, home of the iconic Bakewell Tart.
