The Delray Beach Public Library is calling all home bakers to enter our annual community baking contest. This year’s theme is berries! Berries bring a burst of flavor, color and natural sweetness making them a favorite ingredient for home bakers.
Do you have a berry-licious recipe that everyone raves about? Showcase your baking skills at the Very Berry Bake Off. Enter your best berry desserts – cakes, pies, bars and muffins – anything bursting with berry flavor.
Entries will be capped at 20 contestants. Entry deadline is Friday, September 19 at 5 PM. Cakes, pies, bars and muffins are allowed to be entered. Contest guidelines can be found HERE.
The registration fee to enter is $10 per contestant.
1st, 2nd and 3rd place ribbons will be awarded along with our popular People’s Choice Award.
Our Local celebrity judges this year include: Lisbet “LB” Summa, Executive Culinary Director and Chef Partner of Big Time Restaurant Group – Winnie Diggans Edwards, Executive Director, Delray Beach Historical Society – Joycelyn Patrick, Delray Beach Public Library Board President and Christina Morrison, Commercial Realtor Property Consultant.

Not a baker but still would like to attend and support local bakers and the library? This event is open to the community and free to attend. No registration necessary. Come and join in on a fun afternoon for the whole family. There will be a baking demonstration, sweet treats samplings and of course the contest! Come and vote for the People’s Choice Award!
