- **Event Description**: Please help us welcome our next SFUPS In-Person meeting presenter, Kaitlyn McQueeney (IG @sharkdiver_kaitlyn) presenting to us on Florida Shark Photography! 

Kaitlyn visited Cape Cod often while in her childhood, enjoying beach days with her family.  She later became fascinated with sharks when the local great white population began making headlines.  She then began to study sharks more, watching documentaries, reading and researching as many books as she could find on these beautiful animals. 

As many of us have done, she began her photography journey with an Olympus TG4 compact camera and housing to take photos while fun diving.  She later became a Divemaster that year where guests began asking for her photos as memories of their trips.  She then began working on liveaboards in the Bahamas as a Divemaster and shop photographer, creating photo packages for each weeklong charter she had.

She now focuses on her photography of sharks, mainly out of Jupiter, Florida.  She also has interests and has contributed to non-profits for research such as Manta Pacific Research Foundation, Marine Megafauna Foundation, Hawaii Unchartered Research Collective and Shark Tagger Hawaii. 

Join us for a fun evening with Kaitlyn as we hear more about ethical shark photography and celebrate SharkiGras!  Happy hour begins at 6pm and the meeting begins promptly at 6:45pm.
