The Florida Wildlife Corridor is a swath of land stretching across the state that connects essential habitats, supports endangered species, and protects historic agricultural lands. Brandon Evans, land steward, will speak about Conservation Florida's role in working towards this important goal.

*For Science Cafes, the Gillespie Museum stays open late until 6PM! Stop in and visit even if you aren't attending the program.

As a land steward, Brandon manages Conservation Florida's 456 acre D-Ranch Preserve in Osteen. He is a former Gillespie Museum staffer, having attended Stetson, graduating with a major in Biology and minors in Environmental Science, Sustainable Food Systems, and Community Engagement. His studies have focused on ecology, habitat restoration, and recreation area management. After college, he worked with community organizations to address economic disparities and preserve green spaces in urban areas. While not at work, Brandon enjoys any activity that gets him outside and closer to nature. Hiking, trail biking, camping, and gardening are some of his favorite ways to get out in the Florida sun.
