A bit about Rebel Farms:
We are excited about this upcoming meeting and you need to invite your friends and neighbors!We are your local farmers with a big vision. Rebel Farms is an experiment in permaculture on 1/3 acre with goals to expand to a larger farm in the Volusia County area. We farm in Zone 9, specifically in New Smyrna, Florida. Our love is cultivating intentional living, community & food forestry. Our mission is to install as many edible food forests in backyards around the state as possible, and to teach others to do the same. Our goal is to retire having planted over 100,000 edible trees and perennials in Florida backyards and public spaces.
A definition worth noting: Permaculture, short for "permanent agriculture" and "permanent culture," is a holistic, nature-inspired design system aimed at creating sustainable, resilient, and productive ecosystems. By mimicking natural patterns, it integrates land, resources, and people to meet needs while regenerating the environment. Key principles include earth care, people care, and fair share.
