Girls will start with the basics: cardinal directions, reading trail signs, and interpreting topographical maps to understand the terrain before they even set foot on the trail. Next, they'll master compass skills — learning the parts of a compass, adjusting for declination, and using bearings and triangulation to pinpoint their location on a map.

To put it all together, girls will have the chance to test their new skills on the trails at Lapham Peak!

Whether you're hitting the trails or exploring your local park, Nature Navigator will give you the confidence and skills to find your way anywhere.
