- **Event Description**: Join us for Lights on Lincoln & Santa Comes to Town–an enchanting night to welcome the holiday spirit! Stroll through Downtown DeKalb as sparkling lights line the streets, and wave to Santa himself as he travels through Downtown DeKalb. Welcome Santa as he stops in front of the Egyptian Theatre and leads the magical Christmas tree lighting in Van Buer Plaza.

After the Christmas tree lighting, sip on hot chocolate and visit with Santa inside his cozy house–the perfect spot for sharing your wishes and taking a festive photo!

Santa's route will head east on Lincoln Highway, turn north on 3rd Street, turn west on Locust Street, then South on 2nd Street to stop in front of the Egyptian Theatre (135 N. 2nd Street).

Santa's house will be open for visits in the Van Buer Plaza parking lot across from the Egyptian Theatre.

Santa's route will start at 6pm and take approximately 10 minutes. Santa's house will be open for visits after the Christmas tree lighting.

Make the night extra magical with Tinsels & Tutus! Dimensions Dance Academy dancers will bring downtown storefront windows to life with dazzling performances from 5-7pm with a brief pause at 6pm as Santa arrives. For more information, visit www.dimensionsdanceacademy.com.

City of DeKalb Public Transit is offering free special bus routes to take you, your family, and friends to see Santa! All routes are fare free from 5pm to 8pm. For more information visit https://www.cityofdekalb.com/1438/2025---Lights-on-Lincoln.
