The J.F. Glidden Homestead & Historical Center will host its annual Holiday at The Homestead Open House on Sunday, December 7, at 921 W. Lincoln Highway, DeKalb. The event is free and open to the public.
Visitors are invited to enjoy an afternoon filled with historic charm, holiday music, and family-friendly activities. Highlights include:
Live Music at 1 p.m. from DeKalb High School’s Black Box Quartet
Caroling at 2 p.m. by the Lightbeam Players
Clothespin doll craft activity for children
Cookies and refreshments
Tours of the beautifully decorated historic home
Unique holiday shopping in the museum’s gift shop
Please note: Some activities are located on the second floor and require climbing a flight of stairs.
