DeKalb A&S -- T-Tunic workshop

Are you new to the SCA and wanting your own (very basic) garb?

This class is aimed at helping people with little or no sewing experience make basic T-tunics, aka the required "attempt at pre-1600 garb."

However, if you are more experienced and want to make T-tunics for Gold Key, you are welcome as well.

Or just come socialize!

There will be at least one sewing machine, additional machines would be very welcome.

There *may* be some fabric available.

If you are bringing your own fabric, please bring medium weight solid-colored cotton fabric (think bedsheet weight). Launder it first in hot water.

Michaels in DeKalb has some -- it's sold as "quilting" or "broadcloth" fabric. It's 45" wide, and will take 4 1/2 to 5 yards to make a floor or ankle length tunic.

We will be in the Zimmerman room on the lower level.
