Hands on Heritage: Gourd Crafting

Design the perfect holiday decoration this season at The Historic Daniel Boone Home. Paint a snowman or Santa Claus, or create your own birdhouse with a gourd! Participants partake in the entire gourd crafting process: from scrubbing the gourd to preparing the surface for crafting. Participants should arrive at 11 a.m. and allow for several hours to complete their gourds as working times vary. Please bring a lunch. This program is for ages 12 and up. Cost is $5 per person; pre-registration is required. Space is limited! The program is held outdoors under a pavilion. Participants should prepare for cold or warm weather conditions and wear clothing that can get dirty.
