Dreaming of fresh-cut flowers from your own garden? Join us for Cut Flower Garden 101, an introductory class designed to help you grow beautiful, long-lasting blooms right here in Missouri.

In this class, we’ll focus on our top 5 cut flowers and how to get the most blooms from each plant. You’ll learn the difference between direct sowing seeds outdoors vs. starting seeds indoors, including which flowers prefer each method and step-by-step basics for both.

We’ll also cover:
When and how to start your cut flowers for the best success
Basic soil prep and fertilizing for continuous blooms
Proper cutting techniques to encourage more flowers
Simple tips and tricks to extend vase life
Common mistakes to avoid when growing cut flowers
