Blacksmith Apprentice Class

Come out to the Blacksmith Apprentice Class at The Historic Daniel Boone Home! This class will teach the role of a blacksmith in the 18th and 19th centuries, and beginner fundamentals of smithing including safety, tools of the trade, hammer technique, and simple forging methods. Students will walk away with their own hand-forged project of either a wall hook or a fire poker. This class is for ages 12 and up. Students ages 12-18 must have parental supervision. Pre-registration is required. Parents who wish to participate will also need to register for the class. Classes are open to five participating students.
